Joan M. Decker
Lansing, Michigan.
Born July 29, 1937 daughter of the late Lester and Mildred Wilder passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at age 77. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by an infant son, Randy Walter; husband, Richard Decker; sisters, Marlene Bacon and Patricia Ostrom; brother-in-law, Nelson Ostrom and sister-in-law, Marion Giddings.
Surviving is her daughter, Robin (David Greiner) Walter; step-children, James (Jane) Decker, Patricia (Norm) Byers, Nancy (Paul) Byers, Karen (Bill) Black; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte for their assistance in making Joan’s last days comfortable.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Cochran Rd., Charlotte, MI 48813.
