Jill E. Pohlonski
Age 66, of Holt, MI, passed away September 2, 2013, after a 2 year long battle with cancer. She was born December 28, 1946, in Kalamazoo, MI, to George and Clara Hayworth. She worked at Lansing Dairy and retired from Neogen Corporation in 2012. Jill lived for her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid Spartan fan and loved watching the Michigan State men’s basketball team.
Surviving are; her husband, of 43 years, Ron; children, Brent (Emily) Pohlonski, Jason Pohlonski, and Sara (Howie) Thomas; grandchildren, Clara Pohlonski, Sasha Pohlonski, Harrison Thomas, and Gunnar Thomas; brothers, Wes Cookingham, Gordon Cookingham, Barry Hayworth; and sisters, Gail Evenhouse, and Linda Johnson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Hayworth.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, on Friday, September 13, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sparrow Hospice Services. Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Funeral Home, Holt/Delhi Chapel.
