Jerome “Jerry” Zmyslowski

Age 67, of Big Rapids, MI, passed away May 10, 2014.  He was born July 17, 1946, in Detroit, to John and Avis Zmyslowski.  After graduating from Cody High School, Jerry joined the U.S. Marines.  He married April (Fujiwara) in 1968, and then continued his education at Lawrence Technological University where he received Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Physics.  He loved his work in Hydraulics Engineering, and operated his own business, Fluid Power Professionals, in addition to being an Associate Professor at Ferris State University, receiving his Master’s in Education while there.  Jerry was a proud member of the NRA, and enjoyed spending time at his property in the Upper Peninsula.

Surviving are:  sons, Eric (Sherrie) Zmyslowski of Lansing; Kirk (Melissa) Zmyslowski of Helena, Alabama; grandchildren, Mikayla (age 17), Zachary (age 14), Haleigh (age 13), and Hannah (age 11).

His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, with the funeral service at 6:00 p.m.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Ferris State University or Lawrence Technological University in memory of Jerome Zmyslowski.
