March 3, 2012 at 5:06 amMy dearest little cousin, Jerome, how words can never express the sadness I feel in my heart at this time and oh how I wish I could have been there for you some how or some way, but there was such an age difference between us that it seemed as though we were worlds apart but no matter I love you and all my cousins the same! You may be gone but please believe you will NEVER be forgotten, you will live on in all of our hearts and our memories forever……Love You Jerome!
To Aunt Brenda, Cousins Tamara, Billy, Robyn & Brook; I love you all from the bottom of my heart and if any one of you need anything, anything at all, please know that I’m here for any one of you day or night, so don’t hesitate to call on me if need be. This is one of the saddest days of my life and you know I have had some sad ones. When we said “ride or die” this is not quite what I had in mind but that’s classic Jerome always full of suprizes. I love you for that brother and I know your in a better place and I can’t wait to meet you there. I very happy you got to be with family long enough to make an impact in there lives. My daughter will never forget her uncle Jerome. R.I.P. Brother.

March 5, 2012 at 12:35 amI am Jerome’s cousin. His grandfather, Jerome, is my first cousin. His great grandmother, Mary (Holloway) Benton was my mother’s sister. Jerry is my big cousin and I love him and his wife very much. I never met his namesake–your beloved Jerome–but he is family and this family holds our members dear and in prayer. I send my deepest condolences to the entire Benton family. I pray that you find comfort in God’s promise to all of us. I am so very sorry for your loss.

June 23, 2012 at 12:48 pmThis whole ordeal is a bunch of crap. Outright grade A garbage. All the litlle assumptions and stories of what really happened, just disgust me. Losing my brother was and is still a complete waste. A colossal waste of life and talent. I hadnt seen my oldest little bro in 6 years. Absolutely ridiculous. When I finally do get ta see em, Im lowering his casket. Wow. This is a very hard pill to swallow. I have a huge void in my life, that will never be filled. This didnt have to happen. I miss the hell outta ya man. B.

August 29, 2012 at 1:01 pmVery sad to see this. I hadn’t seen Jerome in years, but he was a close friend in High School. I’ll always remember this guy. I was just listening to a song we used to listen to and reminiscing wishing we didn’t lose touch. Thanks for the memories and being a part in my life. Much love.
