I am sorry to hear of Jeanette’s passing. She had a great sense of humor and was a very nice person to work with everyday. She was helpful to me as a new employee, and made me feel welcome in the Lansing office. God bless you and your family. You are in our prayers.

I worked with Jeanette in the Lansing DDS office from 1981 to 1984, and in that time period as my coworker she reached out to me, invited me to her church and introduced me to her family in a most open and kind manner. She offered prayer and hope to me at a time when few others had the opportunity or willingness to do so. She expressed great compassion and comraderie as a co-worker and friend, inspired me with hope I found nowhere else, and was one of the few people I have ever met who truly exemplified the walk of Christ as a matter of daily practice. I know where she is now, and with much sorrow for the loss of the family, I stand and celebrated her life and the gain of the Kingdom. My Respect to all who knew her, loved her, and lost her!!!!!

The Solorzano family had the privilege of growing up with the Hollingsworth’s. Jeanette was someone who had a huge heart and always looked out for the neighborhood kids. I will always have fond memories of running around in her house, eating dinner with them and waiting on Larissa to get her hair done. When I’d come to Lansing to visit, our walks in the neighborhood. It saddens me to know of her passing, and I give my sincere condolences to the family. I love you all…. Shena

If ever one could wish for the best neighbor in the world, I was privileged to have one. When I moved into my apartment & found out that your Mom attended Mount Hope I was thrilled. But over the years, she became much more than a neighbor; she became a friend, a prayer partner, a teacher, a mentor, and a role model to me. Her love of God, family, and the United States of America lined up completely with my life priorities. I have missed her greatly since her illness…her knock at the door to hook a necklace or ask me about a computer challenge (which was often the blind leading the blind). I send my sincere sympathy on her leaving this earth too young, but I know the faith she instilled in you is what has gotten you through so much these past couple years. You are in my prayers that God’s peace that passes understanding & His love will surround you as you picture your Mom once again singing & dancing in the presence of her King. She is in our future. What a reunion awaits us.

One of the finest people in the world! Consistently good, kind, gentle, loving and loyal! I miss speaking with, sharing with you here. But God! Because of the work at Calvary, because of Jesus, because of the Blood of Jesus, we will see each other again. We will have much to celebrate! Love you always!

When I think of Jeanette the first thing that comes to mind is Jesus. She was unafraid to share the gospel. I know heaven is rejoicing.

My condolences to the family.

Jeanette was a wonderful woman and it was my pleasure to work with her at the Disability Determination Service. In addition to providing excellent service to the disabled people of Michigan, she was devoted to her family and her church. She was missed at the Disability Service when she went into her deserved retirement, and I am sure that she now is happy to be with her Lord and Savior.

To Yolyn and Kara and family and the entire Howard family,

Jeannette was a Christian woman above all, who loved her family. That was clear. She loved the Lord and had a wonderful and kind spirit. She will be truly missed. She’s in heaven with the Father, of this I’m sure, based on HIS Word.

God Bless you all to stay strong through this trying time.

Jeanette – the finest, purest prayer partner anyone could ever have in their life. A mother who loved her children immensely. She has been in our home and traveled with us to various events so she could pray. I miss her so much.

I will be praying for your entire family during this difficult time I will pray for peace and understanding. Your mother was such a humble women of God. I remember her being there for me and praying for my family during a difficult time in our life. She helped me see hope when I couldn’t. I feel very sad because I know what it’s like to loose a mother, however I feel very happy for her because her dedicated life to God and all of the great things she has done for the Kingdom over her life has gotten Jeannette to her heavenly Father she has won and is walking on the streets of gold. My heart is filled with Joy knowing this!

I first met Jeanette at an Early Morning Prayer meeting at Mouth Hope Church. Her sweet and gentle spirit, her love for Jesus and her powerful prayer life instantly drew me to her. We became friends and later on, business partners. Her honesty, integrity and dedication permeated every area of her life. She was always one of the first people I came to when I needed Godly wisdom and advice. I loved praying with her and hearing her talk lovingly about her children and grandchildren. I was blessed to have her pray for my children as well. I also had the pleasure of getting to know Jeanette’s humorous side. There were times that she made me laugh so hard, I cried. We had lunch together a couple months after my six-year-old daughter, Chloe, went to Heaven. I will never forget the powerful conversation we had and the voicemail message she left me the next day (which I am so grateful that I saved on my phone so that I can hear her voice when I need a dose of encouragement). During one of my visits with Jeanette after her stroke, I asked her if God had allowed her to see Heaven while she was in her coma and she responded with a head nod “YES!” God had revealed the glory of the new life ahead of her and, in His infinite mercy, allowed all of her friends and family a long “goodbye, for now.” I love you Jeanette and I miss you so very much. Until we meet again my friend goodbye, for now.

Today, I had the honor of meeting Catherine, Jeanette’s daughter, at Evergreen Cemetery where she was visiting her mother’s grave. I had come to visit my husband’s grave, which is close to Jeanette’s. After talking with Catherine and now reading the notes here about her mother, I am thankful that this lovely woman of God, a prayer warrior for His kingdom, is now with Him in glory. How hard it is to let go for those who knew and loved her. I will pray for Catherine and the rest of Jeanette’s family as they grieve the loss of this beautiful woman. I know her legacy will live on as she has touched so many lives with the love of Christ.

I thought of you today, my sweet cousin. I thought about how much you loved God. How you would always have time to say encouraging words. I thought about you today, and I asked Jesus to tell you I love you and we all are running this race!
