December 3, 2020 at 7:38 pmI loved Jane, she was my second mom. She always made me laugh and I loved going to her house drinking wine with her. She was there for me when my dad passed and I wish I could be there now to say goodbye. However, I am all the way in Arizona now. I told my mom Sharon Patton to let her know that I love her dearly. Prayers to the family, Jane was an exceptional lady and I will miss her and all the love and kindness she bestowed. Jane, you truly will be missed and I love you!

December 3, 2020 at 8:36 pmI can not think of a time that Aunt Jan wasn’t in my life. I have so many memories over my 56 years of her. She taught me how to make sassafras tea straight from her back yard. The first time I seen kittens born was in her kitchen. I even learned to snap my gum because she always did! I always thought she was so beautiful and I loved her hugs so much! She was my mom’s best friend my whole life and as my mom had to move in with me due to dementia, in spite of Aunt Jan not feeling all that great last summer, she made the trip from Lansing to Battle Creek to spend the afternoon with mom, knowing mom wouldn’t know who she was. I will miss you Aunt Jan. More than I think you could ever imagine. I love you. My thoughts and prayers to the kids and grandchildren. You are always in my heart.

February 2, 2021 at 11:00 pmJan became our neighbor when we moved in next door to her home in 2012. It didn’t take long to learn what a wonderful neighbor we had acquired. I will so miss her next spring, summer snd fall when I am out in my garden. We enjoyed so many “garden talks” and shared stories of our lives. My condolences to Jan’s family and to Jim. She was so filled with love and caring and strength,
