Sister, thank you for all the love and wisdom you shared with everyone you knew. I recall your many travels around the country and abroad. Thank you for the gifts you gave Denise and me, especially the quilts, the State of Michigan chair you brought down to us here in Missouri and, most of all, your smiles and laughter. You were SUPER! Love and hugs, John and Denise.

To my ‘old’ junior and senior high locker partner. . . You embraced the journey when we graduated and moved west to attend Pasadena City College. I remember those train trips back to Michigan, especially the one when you insisted your pet rat travel with us. .. under the neck of your blouse. Other than the long tail hanging out, no one seemed to mind.. . Our train trips eventually became cross country car adventures and then trips to Cambodia, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. You were always ready and willing to explore and try anything. You were diligent in keeping the class of ‘60 in touch along with building ramps and constantly sewing quilts. The pillow you made when we turned 80 now rests on my back patio with a reminder of happy days. We sure made some wonderful memories. . . For that I am very thankful. I have no doubt you are now pain free and enjoying life.

I never knew she had a pet rattie, but that story is SO Jane. I loved the pet rats friends had. They were sweet, gentle, affectionate, and intelligent.

Jane was a delight to everyone who knew her. Her bright spirit and beautiful music on the Autoharp blessed many a Chapel service at Great Lakes Christian Homes retirement community. She is fondly remembered and greatly missed by our residents and staff alike.

Jane had been my neighbor and dear friend for so long I am no longer sure. I think it has been about 20 years.

We cat sat for one another, and shared a love of quilting and knitting.

It is hard to wrap my mind around it. I will always think of her when I see a cardinal.

Jane was our dear friend and sister. We shared our life- and quilting-adventures with her for 30 years. She was fun, focused, organized, talented and loving. Her loss leaves a big hole in our hearts. Thank you, Jane, for all the happy memories. The Sunbonnet Sues in Canoes are already missing you.

Jane was a good soul who believed in helping those less fortunate. In addition to her many endeavors she was very active in the MSU Retirees Knitting Group for over 20 years making over hundreds of items for the needy. She did all of this while having fun and inspiring others. Jane will leave a void and be greatly missed.

Met Jane when she was working at MSU. She is partly responsible for the fact I started quilting. Miss her already. See you on the other side my friend.
