James F. “Jim” Dart
James F. Dart (Jim) was born to Bud and Mae Dart in Lansing, Michigan. Jim attended Albion College, L.C.C., and Michigan State University, majoring in philosophy. He enjoyed his career as a salesman and loved to play fast-pitch softball and golf. A member of the Lansing Optimist Club, Jim used his enthusiasm for life and sports to mentor many young people, even helping several to complete degrees at MSU. Some of his happiest times were spent with his beloved nieces and nephews. Jim’s love for MSU sports found him traveling all across the country to support Spartan teams, especially in football and basketball. Jim Dart lived life on his own terms, impacting many along his journey with his big-hearted generosity and wicked sense of humor.
Jim will be missed greatly by all who loved him. Please join us in a celebration of Jim’s life on Sunday, December 23, at Sutton Advisor’s, 2201 East Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48912, from 2-5 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Lansing Food Bank.
