James Douglas Hanson
Holt, Michigan
Born July 27, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan, son of the late Elbert and Maxine (Jenks) Hanson, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the age of 77.
Jim was a graduate of Holt High School and retired from General Motors following 30 years of service, where he worked as a Machine Operator. He attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Holt, enjoyed traveling, playing cards, gatherings with friends and family, and was a golfer extraordinaire!
Surviving are his devoted wife of 40 years, Lois Snover-Hanson; brother, Ronald (Margaret) Hanson; a niece and a nephew along with their families; several cousins, and a host of friends.
Public visitation will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 N. Cedar St. in Holt on Wednesday, July 16th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions, in memory of Jim, to Delhi Township Parks and Recreation Department – for youth sports programs and the City Garden.
