Jackie L. Morse

   In the arms of our Lord, Jackie Lee Morse Sr. went home to be with his parents, Benjamin and Mildred Morse. 

   He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary and his grandson David Simon. He leaves behind his most greatest treasures, his family. His loving wife and best friend of 51 years, Elaine (Apsey) Morse and their seven children, Linda (Art) Shepard of Bath, Jacki (Jerry) Scates of Linden, Cynthia (Dave) Simon of Charlotte, Gina (Duane) Smith of Eaton Rapids, Jack Morse Jr. of Holt, Marcella (Ron) Morse of Perry, Michael (Angie) Morse of Holt; many grandchildren who include, Christopher (Jenny) Shepard, Kathleen Shepard, Steven (Tatiana) Shepard, Kyle (Marti) Scates, Kipp Scates, Kris (Sharon) Scates, Michele Scates, Bret Simon, Ryan (Jodi) Simon, Erica (Rob) Simon, Trish (Jake)  Morse, Brandi (Trent) Tuckey, Duane Smith Jr., Jennifer Morse, Malcolm (Amber) Forbes, Desiree Woolsey, Kathrine, Sarah, and Emily Wyrembelski, Justin Felzke and Samantha Morse; great-grandchildren who include, Zachary and Nathan Shepard, David Gomez, Julia, Justin, and Michael Shepard, Amber, Paige, Lorin, Zachary, and Collin Scates, Kayla Scates, Kristopher Scates and Dustin Balogh, Ashleigh, Cameron, Austin and Savannah Simon, Kevin and Kierra Sebrell, and Jazzlyn Tuckey. Jack will be greatly missed by in-laws, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends including his social group of friends at the Tamarack Apartments in Holt where he resided. 

   Jack was a strong man, enduring the pain and debilitating condition of polio for nearly forty years.  Yet, he lived with love in his heart every day.

   The funeral service will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Monday, October 11, 2010, at 2:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday.  Those who wish to make a contribution in the name of Jack Morse can be made to the rehabilitation department at St. Lawrence Specialty Hospital in Lansing.
