Jack Murphy

Age 93, passed away May 12, 2017, in Holt. He was born August 12, 1923, in Stonefort, IL, to the late Roy and Pearl (Thompson) Murphy.
Jack was a longtime employee at Michigan State University as a maintenance supervisor. He was an expert gardener, as well as a Spartan fan.
He is survived by his children: Mary (James), and Mike (Laura); grandchildren: James, and Stephen; and a sister, Sally. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, daughter Nancy, and grandson Jonathan.
The funeral for Jack Murphy will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel with interment to follow in Felt Plains Cemetery, Leslie, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SIDS Foundation.
