Jack M. Dunn

Age 86, of Lansing MI, peacefully passed into his heavenly home Wednesday, December 24, 2025.  Jack was born in Detroit, MI on February 4, 1939 to John and Fern Dunn.

Brothers, Jim and David and Sisters, Virginia Purcell and Carolyn Davis, Sisters-in-law Linda Dunn and Patricia Kepler-Wier  as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents John and Fern Dunn, his wife, Sharon Dunn and twin brother Jerry Dunn.

Jack lived in Lansing for most of his life. He graduated from Lansing Sexton High School. He then served his country in the Army and Army Reserves.

Jack met Sharon, the love of his life, in 1961 at Capital Laundry where they both worked. They married soon after and began raising their family. They celebrated 52 years together before her death in 2013.

He sold building materials for the first half of his working life. First at Lansing Wholesale and Supply Co. and then at The Roary Corporation. When the building industry declined in the early Eighties, he was laid off. The next week he began his new career with his business partner, Sharon, as co-owner of Prinit-In-A-Minit South, Inc. in Lansing. He retired from printing in 2004, 22 years later. Through the years, it became a family business and he was proud that each of his children worked for him at some point.

Jack was a 50 year+ lifetime member of Lansing Lodge #33 F&AM and served in many positions, including two terms as Worshipful Master. He was an active member of the American Legion, Mt. Moriah Post 460 of Lansing. He was also a longtime member of First Christian Church in Lansing.

The family would like to thank his caregivers both past and present from StoryPoint Abbot Park, (formerly Provision Living) and CrossBridge Hospice, (formerly HarmonyCares Hospice) for their amazing care and support.

There will be a funeral held 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 Cedar St., Holt, MI 48842, with Military honors to follow. Deb!!! Loved your dad!!! Missed him so much, after my sweet Stephanie passed away! Loved him coming in her room and sitting with us sneaking chocolate! I would fill his pockets with werthers candies… nothing but frat memories. I’m so sorry for your loss. It doesn’t matter how old our parents are, they are still our mommy and daddy, our first loves, and the pain and loss is real. Prayers and hugs

May our prayers and deepest sympathy be with you during this difficult time. Our wish is that you are each able to cherish the many good memories during this time of the gathering of family and friends to celebrate Jack,s life. We know your loss is deep and difficult.
