Dear Margaret and family,
Want to extend beautiful thoughts of your sweet mom. She had the biggest smile always, and wanted to know what was going on when conversations took place. I remember she lived so close in Holt at the trailer park for so long, it truly was her home. She didn’t want to wear her hearing aids, so we just spoke louder and longer.
God speed as her journey wasn’t long. But her memory’s that I have of her remain always.
My Love to you dear friend, and your family. She’s so Lucky to have had such a beautiful Life with all of you. Until we see each other soon.

To the entire Smith family I extend by deepest condolences for the loss of Irene. I worked with her for 18 yrs At Kmart and what a very sweet and positive person she was all the time. I actually lived in her mobile home park as well and it was always nice to run into her either walking or meeting at the mailboxes. Many of us that worked with her at Kmart long enough to bond with her and build a good relationship with her will always think highly and know just how special she was to all of us! Love and hugs to all!!

Irene was the sweetest baby sitter for our son Michael when he was a toddler back in the 1980s. Even now as a 38 year old he still fondly remembers Irene. We were so fortunate to have Irene as l was able to continue teaching in DeWitt and Peggy was able to get back to her office at MSU. Irene came to our house so he never had to leave home. We were so fortunate to have such wonderful help. We were also so pleased to have been able to celebrate Irene’s 80th birthday. Our condolences to the family.
