Imtiaz Ansari
Mr. Imtiaz Ansari, age 83, originally of Lansing, MI succumbed to complications associated with sudden acute renal failure, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC on April 30, 2013.
Mr. Ansari is survived by his wife, Shahnaz of 48 years; 4 sons, Haroon (Ophelia), Amir (Carla), Rashid (Saima), and Nadeem; 5 grandchildren, NaRyhan, Nylah, Nataliah, Rohan and Anissa; 2 sisters, Kishwar Kazi of Raleigh, NC, Moeena Baig of Multan, Pakistan; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mr. Ansari was a civil engineer and he traveled the world building bridges. He retired from the state of Michigan as a civil engineer. He moved to Rock Hill, SC in 2005 where he resided upon his death. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and known to many as “Abbu.” Imtiaz will be dearly missed and will be laid to rest at his hometown of 40 years, in Lansing, MI at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Islamic Center of East Lansing, located at 920 S. Harrison Rd. East Lansing, MI 48823. A burial service will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, located at 1709 E. Mount Hope Ave. in Lansing, MI. Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
