February 4, 2017 at 6:18 amDr. Lockhart was my instructor and major professor for my Thesis. He had such a wealth of knowledge, but was always willing to share and guide us. I am where I am today, in no small part due to his guidance and instruction. My prayers are with his family as he joins Beverly in the Church Triumphant.

October 24, 2017 at 12:57 pmDr. Lockhart was my favorite professor of all time. He was a wealth of knowledge on all things packaging as well as a wonderful person. Several years ago I had the honor of presenting Hugh with an award from the Drug and Pharmaceutical Packaging Committee. His eyes would twinkle when he was talking about his career in the industry and how much he enjoyed academia. I have fond memories of “packaging symposiums” he would arrange with industry professionals at the Rathskeller near MSU. The packaging world has lost a legend. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
