Howard will be remembered most for how much he loved and valued his family and the people that he had in his life. He had a knack for making everyone feel special, which made him a very special man to everyone.

A funeral service for Howard will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018, at South Church of the Nazarene, 401 W. Holmes Rd., Lansing, MI. His family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He was a good friend. Such a gentle, sweet soul. We enjoyed tailgating with him for many years and had a lot of laughs with him and Gloria. They were both so very kind and supportive when I lost my husband. Will miss his smile, sense of humor and kind heart.

With deepest sympathy,

I lived at Tammany for several years and both Howard and Gloria were like family to many people who lived there. Howard and I had many talks about our faith and families and I will remember him for his sense of humor and that smile and twinkle in his eye. He loved and was so proud of his grandchildren and talked about them often. My condolences to his family.

I’ve known Howard since I was in the sixth through the 12th grade. We reconnected several years ago with two other classmates on the golf course. We all enjoyed those times so much and Howard drove all way that each week just for this special occasion, in fact he was usually the first one there. What happy memories!! May he rest in peace with Gloria.
