June 22, 2011 at 10:22 amThank you, Grandama, for the many wonderful childhood memories. Thank you for ironing rolls of wrinkled packing paper so that I could use it for drawing paper. Thank you for trying to teach me how to make your famous tortillas. Thank you for taking my sister and me to church. The only word I could understand at that church was the word Jesus, but as it turns out, it has become the most valuable name to me. Thank you for always welcoming my mother and my sister and me into your home and family.
