Helen P. Shepherd

“Grandma Helen,” age 85, of Lansing, passed away September 18, 2012. She was born June 2, 1927, in Lansing, to Elno and Amanda French. She was a waitress for 45+ years, most recently working at Don’s Windmill Truck Stop.

She is survived by her sons, Paul (Patricia) Allen and Olin (Linda) Allen; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Linda) French; sister, Wanda Barner; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Roberta Robbins.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Gunnisonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
