Helen F. Caudell
Born August 14, 1928, in Lapeer County, ascended to Heaven on June 3, 2024, at the age of 95. Mrs. Caudell had retired from J.C. Penney Co. after 22 years of service from the downtown and Lansing Mall stores.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Caudell; her parents, Vern and Iva Lucas; brothers, Wayne and Bob; sisters, Beth, Aileen, Marian, Edith and Myrtle. Surviving are: sons, John (Betty Gingas) Caudell of Grand Ledge and Jeff (Linda) Caudell of Ionia; daughter, Janice Caudell of South Bend, IN; grandsons, Scott (Kara) Caudell of Bridgman, MI and Mark Caudell of Nairobi, Kenya; great-granddaughter Hannah; many nieces, nephews and many dear friends at Great Lakes Christian Home.
Mrs. Caudell was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Holt and held office as Elder, Deacon and stated clerk. She was active in Boy and Girl Scouts and PTA at Maple Grove Elementary School for many years. Don and Helen also served Meals on Wheels for several years.
Helen’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Great Lakes Christian Home for their kind and compassionate care.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church of Holt, 2021 N. Aurelius Rd., with interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, as well as one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.
