Hazel Esther (Halsted, Dast) Raymond

Age 91, of Lansing, went Home to be with Jesus, early on June 15, 2011.

She left behind her second husband, Clifford J. Raymond of 40-plus years. Her first husband, Robert Dast passed after 27 plus years of marriage. She also leaves two daughters and a stepson, Roana Florence (Dast) Smith, Patricia Louise (Dast) Ledesma, and her husband, Rudy, and Mark D. (Bonnie) Raymond; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a Legacy of Love and Devotion to her family; and many, many friends. She also leaves two sisters behind: Pearl Kruger and Aleta Swick.

She retired from Ingham Regional Medical Center in 1978 after 11 years of service. She was a devoted member of Judson Memorial Baptist Church and served in many and various capacities there over her many years of membership. She loved to travel; to camp; to read and take care of her home and family. She was skilled in the art of “Crocheting”. She enjoyed her many friends and getting together for fellowship with them.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 531 Glendale Ave., Lansing, MI. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Donations may be made in her name to Judson Memorial Baptist Church in lieu of flowers as a memorial to her.

Sorry for your loss Mr. Raymond and family. Mark always spoke lovingly about his stepmother. Unfortunately, we will be out of town and won’t be able to visit. God be with you all.

Cliff,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your lovely wife, Hazel. She was always a
ray of sunshine whenever I stopped over to visit. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and look over you in this time of transition.
