Gregory J. Masseau

Age 57, of Lansing, MI, passed away May 12, 2023. He was born May 9, 1966, in Lansing, to Gary, Sr. and Mary “Jeanie” Masseau.

Greg was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School, where he participated in football, hockey and track. He was also an avid hockey fan. Greg will be remembered as a kind, humble man, who would give you the shirt off his back. Friends often referred to him as the “gentle giant.” He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children, Wesley and Kendra; grandson, Isaac; his father, Gary L. (Shirley) Masseau, Sr.; brother, Gary L. (Teresa) Masseau, Jr.; and 4 nieces, Ally (Brandon), Courtney (Ian), Ashley, and Danielle. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Jeanie” Masseau, and brother Brad Masseau.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Mattson at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Church of the Resurrection, 1505 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. His family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the National Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
