Gladys Patricia “Pat” (Larson) Currin

Gladys Pat CurrinGladys Patricia “Pat” (Larson) Currin, (aka Blond Bomber) was born to Charles and Pearl (Chesney) Larson on December 28, 1933, in Shepherd, Michigan.  She passed away peacefully at home, in Holt, Michigan, on November 19, 2020, at the age of 86.

Pat will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. She was such a strong, loving, and kind lady who always had a smile to share and an open door, welcoming anyone for a cup of coffee and a visit.

She was an active member of Holt United Methodist Church and a long-time volunteer for Give-A-Kid-Projects. She was passionate about making sure no child went without basic needs and Christmas presents.

Her love of children and family could not be topped.  She was a Mom to five biologically, Karianne (Pat) DeRosa, Kim (Debbie) Currin, Kris (Elynn) Hummel, Jimmie Currin, Tim (Carrie) Currin, however, many more called her the same.  Being a “Nana” was her favorite title, and she had 19 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pearl Larson, and her siblings, Lila, Helen, Dick, Midge, Ron, Jean, Sister-in-law Rosie, Great-Granddaughters Kearra Hernandez and Alexandrea Robertson.

Her family was her life!  Nothing made Pat happier than having her pool full of kids and her house full of family.

She will be missed, but never forgotten!

The service will be private.

Arrangements by Estes-Leadley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, Holt United Methodist Church.

I met Mrs. Currin in her home when I delivered Christmas cookies to her from UMW circle groups annual cookie delivery. We had such a lovely chat and visit. Blessings to all her family at this time of loss.

Growing up as a child on the playgrounds of Midway elementary with my best friend Jimmy and brother Humpy, I remember Pat as my second ma. I spent many nights and ate many meals in her home. It seemed liked I was there more than my own home. She was the most generous, kind woman there could be. Her door was open to anyone and to everyone always. My wife Debbie and I want to express our deepest heart felt sorrow to all of her kids (our friends) in this time of sadness. We loved her and all of you. Ken and Debbie Kosloski

To the Pat “Ma” Currin Family,

Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you at this time. Bless you for taking care of her, and allowing her to stay in her home, and being by her side through her challenging journey and final days. It has been a while since I have seen her, but I will always remember her unique laugh and quick wit. May she rest in peace while fond memories fill your hearts.

Peggy (Kosloski) & WIlliam DeWitt
