Geraldine Ann “Geri” Esio

Geraldine Ann Esio, of Holt, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Geri was born February 2, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, to Michael and Sophia Patrick.  She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Flint and had a long career as a secretary at General Motors.

Geri will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit.  She was a devoted wife to her husband, Nate and a loving mother to Gary.  Geri loved to cook and was a gracious hostess, always willing to share her family recipes.  Her meticulous attention to detail was displayed in her excellent sewing skills.  She sewed many of her own clothes, and even draperies for their home.

Geri is survived by her husband, Nate Esio; her son, Gary Chambon, Jr.; and her niece, Michelle (Troy) Brancheau.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, James Patrick.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2026, at St. Martha Catholic Church, 1100 W. Grand River Ave., Okemos.  Her family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Martha Catholic Church in memory of Geraldine Esio.
