Gerald Lee Carter

Age 72, of Holt, passed away, Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Lansing. He was born November 18, 1937 in Holt, Michigan to Leo and Erma Carter.

Gerald was a U.S. Army veteran, was retired from General Motors, and was a big Detroit Tigers fan. Gerald loved spending time at the Biggby Coffee Shop and Buddies Grill of Holt. The family would like to thank the staff at both locations for their kindness.

Gerald is survived by his children: Gerald (Teri) Carter of Lansing, Alice (George) Newton of East Lansing, Kenneth (Karen) Carter of Ovid, and Danny Carter (Becky Shinevar) of DeWitt; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Gloria) Carter of Holt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service for Gerald Carter will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel with interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Dimondale. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
