George Edward Pettinger

Born February 1, 1936, in Coral, Michigan, son of the late Edward and Fern (Huckins) Pettinger passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018, at age 82.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Anna Joe Pettinger; their 3 daughters, Jody Ann Pettinger, Jamie Joe (Michael) Botti, and Robin Renee (Butch) Wilson; 5 grandchildren, Rachel (Brian Kosoglow) Botti, Nathan (Kate McKinley) Botti, Michael Smith, Dennis Coderre, and Shanna Coderre; 3 great-grandchildren, Dante Botti, Riley Botti, and Valencia Smith; 5 brothers, 1 sister along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by 1 sister.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a private pilot, and retired from G.M.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions, in loving memory of George, to Ele’s Place or the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Michigan.
