Genevieve A. Dionise

Age 95, passed away January 13, 2018. She was born July 18, 1922 in Lapeer, MI, to the late Joseph and Mary (Calabrese) Dionise.

Genevieve was a volunteer and longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, an alumni of Marygrove College, was a 50+ year member of the Association of Catholic Business Women, belonged to the Zonta Club of Lansing, and retired from the State of Michigan after many years of service.

She is survived by her sister Ernestine Dionise; nieces and nephews, Rosemary Clark, John (Connie) DeMarco, Michael (Vanessa) DeMarco, Terry (Renee) DeMarco, and Patti Solomon; great nieces and nephews, Kristen (David) Rafferty, Danielle and Alexis Solomon, Nicole and Robert Anthony DeMarco, and Connor DeMarco. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ida Dionise, Stella (Robert) DeMarco, Frank Dionise, and The Honorable Michael Dionise; and a niece Kelly Daily.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Mark Inglot at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. Burial will take place Saturday in Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer, MI. Her family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Gunnisonville Meadows Senior Assisted Living.
