October 21, 2023 at 1:55 pmOne of my best memories of Uncle Gene was when I was in about 8th or 9th grade. He called our house and I answered “Guile residence” and he said, “Well hi Kris, this is your Uncle Gene. How are you?” It truly did not even enter my mind that he actually wanted to know how I was. Grown ups generally didn’t interact with kids like that back then. So I told him fine and please hold while I get my dad. He said, “No Kris. Wait a minute. I want to know how YOU are. What’s new with you? How’s school?” I was stunned and felt so treasured. What a blessing. I’ve never forgotten it and never will. Rest in peace, Uncle Gene. Looking forward to seeing you again.

October 22, 2023 at 9:22 amI met Gene through Betty. Betty and I worked together, and Gene would come over to see her. We also had many social outings together. He was a great guy, a true gentleman, and loved his family. Gene is no longer in pain. We pray for comfort for Betty and other members of his family at this difficult time. Gene will also be remembered as “one of the good guys”. Rest in Peace.

I remember when you and I would go to the green house and while in the car you would make the funniest voices..your best was Donald duck..you would quack and quack. You would also speak in other languages. You were a father to me. I know you are shining down on us from heaven. Have fun hanging with the good lord.

October 26, 2023 at 9:42 amWhen a great person passes, for years and years they leave a light behind them, the light is on the paths of who they have touched. I am thankful that I knew Gene (Mr Guile). He was a great person such as this. His memory will live with his family and in many people outside his immediate family. His smile, his chuckle laugh, his wisdom, his listening ear. Rest in Peace.

November 1, 2023 at 11:58 amGene, a truly grand man.He set the bar high at an early age and it remained there his entire life. His devotion to faith, family, country and friends was always present. He selflessly devoted time to assisting others with a warm smile on his face. His naturally kind heart found him helping the young, the less fortunate, the hospitalized and the elderly. Gene’s personal quest for knowledge never wained until the day the lord called him home.Gene , thank you for a wonderful example on how to live life.God bless you and Rest In Peace.
