Gail Eugene Rollins

Lansing, Michigan.

Born June 8, 1931 in Grand Rapids, Michigan son of the late Gaylord and Sophia Rollins passed away August, 2, 2022 at age 91.

Gail is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Paula; two sons, Benjamin (Lynn) Rollins and Christopher Rollins; granddaughter, Jacqulyn Rollins along with  many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Dolores Bolduc and Gloria Johnson.

Gail graduated from St. Joseph High School in Muskegon, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and retired from the State of Michigan.  First and foremost, Gail was a family man and cherished time spent with family.  He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting, and fishing.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions, in Gail’s memory, to Sparrow Home Hospice or the Capital Area Humane Society.

Gail and his wife Paula have been like family members throughout my life. Gail was a good man and will be deeply missed. We send our condolences to Paula and family.

Gail took the time to share his cooking expertise with my junior high aged daughter years ago.
He and Paula took my daughter, for the DAY, and taught her to make pierogis!!. Not only did Gail patiently teach her the method, but then shared in the finished product. THEN sent some home as well. Such a gentle, kind hearted, giving, sharing soul.
He will truly be missed. He made a difference!
