Frank “Wink” Jurincic, of Holt, MI, passed away February 6, 2015 at the age of 91. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, Glider Regiment and was the Bugle Boy for his company. He was involved in D-Day, Operation Market Garden, and The Battle of the Bulge. He was and ALWAYS will be a Hero to anyone who had the honor, privilege and pleasure of knowing him. He returned to work for the U.S Civil Service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Hernando Beach Yacht Club.
He was married to the love of his life for 68 years, Janet Jurincic. They had 3 children, Judi (Bill) Swagler, Windy Jetson, and James Jurincic; a special nephew to whom he loved as a son, Joe (Shannon) Jurincic; grandchildren, Carrie (Chris) Pearson, Amy (Kevin) Lane, Amanda (Kyle) Hagerman, Lesa (Josh) Leverett, and Jamie LaBonte; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mackinley, Ayden, Avery, Marena, Carley, Aubree, Brookelynn, Christopher and Timmery; great-great-granddaughter, Adreanna; so many friends and loved ones; and a precious lady, Stephanie.
The family will receive friends & family on Friday, February 13, from 5-8 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Bill Lugger at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at St. Casmir Catholic Church. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Delta Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
