Frances May Adams

Our mom passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Frances was born on February 23, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan, and was the youngest of four siblings that she has joined in heaven. She worked as an RN with Sparrow Hospital and was a graduate of Lansing Community College in Nursing. Fran was very active and enjoyed gardening, quilting, aerobics, volleyball, crafting, traveling and eating potato chips. Fran was an active member with Dimondale Presbyterian Church. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband Norm, family, lifelong friend Kathy, and her dog Dobby.

Fran was married to her best friend and husband Norman for over 52 years. She and Norm loved playing cards, reading, canoeing, going to Lugnuts Baseball games and travelling to many cities in Mexico together.

Surviving are her three children, Alicia (Dominick) DeBello, Todd (Linda) Adams and children Kyle (Morgan), Madelynn, Harrison and Jeff, Carrie (Donald) McDaniels and children, Dustin and Rachael; sisters, Jacqueline (Norman) Wood, Linda Ried; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very special best friend, Kathleen Schims.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 Cedar St., Holt, led by Reverend Ben Rumbaugh of Dimondale Presbyterian Church. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing or University of Michigan-Sparrow Heart and Vascular, Lansing.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Fran was so much fun to work with in L&D. Never a dull moment. She had the gift of adding cheer to any event. The picture you chose, is how I will always remember Fran. My thought and prayers are with you.

My condolences to Fran’s family. I worked with Fran in Labor & Delivery for several years. She had a huge smile and a fun personality. She added pep to our unit and often times didn’t just walk around, but danced around it. May she rest in peace.
