Florence Marie (Lott) Davison

Lifetime resident of Holt, Florence Davison died peacefully at her home August 22, 2024.

Florence was a loving mother of four children and wife for 72 years to her beloved Ernest.

Florence and Ernest lived on her mother Hattie Lott’s farm at the corner of Dell and College.

Ernest saved enough money to build their lifelong home on College Road.

Florence was a homemaker for several years until she went to work at GM, where she retired with 25 years of service.

Florence and Ernest spent the next several years traveling the world.  They purchased a winter home in AZ and a cottage in northern MI.  Many fun memories with family and friends were made.

Florence loved to entertain and was a wonderful cook.  We will forever be making homemade ice cream and lebkuchen cookies.  She taught us all hard work and to enjoy life.  She was the rock of the family and will forever be in our hearts.

She was preceded death by her Ernest, ten siblings, son Paul, great-granddaughter Monica Morrison and grandson Cameron Morrison.

Surviving are her best friend and sister Beaulah Parker of Holt, daughters Sally Olson, Spring Morrison, and RoxAnne Hays, grandchildren Melissa Morrison, Joshua Davison, Matthew Earls, Russell Earls, Heather Morrison, David Davison, Kenny Olson, Randy Olson, and several great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to her grandsons Matthew and Russell Earls and caregiver Augistine Cooper.

A celebration of Florence’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 N. Cedar St. in Holt.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at Noon on Wednesday.
