July 3, 2023 at 12:19 pmGene and Tim and I grew up together on old Marywood Avenue and went to school through 8th grade at the old North School. Our neighborhood was just the end of the still dead-end Marywood. For friends we had just us Dorr’s, Ralson’s, Bailey’s’ and Oxendale’s. We had to adjust our ball games to fit the wide range of our ages.
There was that one great winter sleet storm that covered our long sledding hill with ice before the snow. Such fine sledding we had that winter until spring. Tim, I still remember the year you had a cast over both legs and we could only visit you through your open bedroom window.
