September 30, 2023 at 9:30 amEmma was my most beloved aunt. Her sister Donna, my mother, were very close in age and maintained a close relationship throughout the years with letters and frequent phone calls even after Donna moved to New York City.
My mother always referred to her as Pete as per Emma’s request after one of their early adventures. So my sisters and I always referred to her as aunt Pete long after Emma had abandoned that name.
After the passing of my mother, we kept in touch, mainly by phone calls and letters which I always looked forward to.
Emma was caring, loving and sometimes hilarious. She consistently expressed genuine interest in what we were up to in our lives and relationships. Emma’s beautiful spirit will be sorely missed in my life as well as in my sisters’ Lauralei and Holly lives. We love you and miss you.
