Elva A. Youngs

Elva A. Youngs died peacefully on February 21, 2018, at the age of 88, at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, Florida. She was a long-time resident of Eaton Rapids and Holt, Michigan, and Bradenton, Florida. She was born in Lansing, Michigan, on January 3, 1930, the daughter of Harold Golden and Blanche (Moore) Golden. She was a graduate of Sexton High School and Davenport College, Lansing, Michigan.  She was a home maker and wonderful mother.  She was an avid MSU Spartan fan, loved playing games, technology, a good meal and visiting with her many family and friends.

Elva married Darell Youngs in Lansing on September 21, 1951. Surviving family members are two sons and two daughters: David (Nathan Solomon) Youngs, Peter (Jayné) Youngs, Nora (James) Anderson, and Bethany Youngs. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Joan (Rebecca Brannon) Anderson, Ruth (Stephen Ancona) Anderson, Julia Youngs, Glenn Tigner and Grant Tigner, three great-grandchildren: Seth and Ziva Anderson-Brannon and Lincoln Ancona, as well as brother Vern (Donna) Glew, several nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S. and Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband Darell, her daughter Joan, son Frankie, her father and mother Harold and Blanche Golden, sisters Mary, Margie, Barbara, and Eileen, and in-laws Ellsworth and Mildred Youngs.

The funeral service will be held at Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, located at 2121 N. Cedar, Holt, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018.   Interment will take place at Dimondale Cemetery but there will be no graveside service. The family will also receive visitors on Saturday, March 10th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions in memory of Elva to the American Tinnitus Association, www.ata.org.

Sorry to the family I sure had wonderful memories of her and uncle Darrell and the farm. Rip Aunt Elva love you.
