Ella C. Walker

Lansing, Michigan

Born January 18, 1919, in Junction City, Kansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 6, 2015, at the age of 96.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Clara (Kramer) Baresel, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and her loving husband Francis. Surviving are: her son Craig Walker of Lansing, grandson Brian (Jennifer) Walker of Lansing, grandson Wayne (Margie) Walker of Painsville, OH, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Doris, 3 cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

Ella and her husband Francis were active members of the Lansing community since 1939. She enjoyed art, music, golf and was a member of the Capitol Square and Round Dance Club for 25 years with Francis. She was a lifelong member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a faithful employee of Adams Tool and Engineering for over 25 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 549 E. Mt. Hope, Lansing, MI 48910. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions, in memory of Ella, may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
