Elizabeth E. Buell

Elizabeth Ellen (Bradley) Buell from St. Johns, born to James R. Bradley and Georgia (Coonrod) Bradley, at age 97, died January 16, 2025, at Green Acres of Ionia of natural causes. She married Kenneth L. Buell, the love of her life, in 1947 and lived in Lansing where they raised four sons, David Leroy, Douglas Robert, Dennis Michael (deceased) and Duane Bradley.
Elizabeth was an elementary school secretary for Lansing Public Schools where she retired in 1986. Liz and family enjoyed time at the cottage on Horsehead Lake in Michigan and at Beacon Terrace Park in Lakeland, Florida. Throughout her life, she made many opportunities to travel and vacation with family and friends. Elizabeth always had time and energy to care for others, actually earning the designation of “HELPFUL HANNAH” at Green Acres and Beacon Terrace.
Elizabeth is survived by David (Pat), Douglas, Duane (Lori), many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the care, love and support that Elizabeth and her family received from Green Acres of Ionia, Careline Health Group and Interim Health Care Hospice. For those of you who knew Liz, please take a moment to remember something about her that makes you smile and wish her God’s speed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:
