Elizabeth D. "Betty" Kleiman

Bradenton, Florida

On September 18, 2015, Betty Kleiman passed from this life to the next. Betty was born July 23, 1926, in Grand Rapids.  In 1946, she married Robert Kleiman and, after raising her children, she worked in real estate and then the family business, RBK Building Materials.  Betty was a devoted Christian.  She was a founding member of Faith Reformed Church in Traverse City and member of Immanuel Community Reformed Church in Lansing. She loved “good music” and was an accomplished musician, playing piano and organ.

Betty was preceded in death by Robert in 1994.  Surviving are her daughter, Vicki Kleiman; sons, Terrell (Mary) Kleiman and Randall (Jane) Kleiman; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Kay) Postma; sister, Ruth (William) Tuinstra; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with interment in Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Betty Kleiman.
