Elinore Marie Parmelee
Largo, FL, formerly of Holt, MI
The Lord called the name of His child, Elinore Parmelee, age 104, and she joyously went with Him on April 16, 2023. She kept her sweet spirit to the end of her life.
Born in Goodells, Michigan on May 28, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, her two sons James Dean and Darwin, and her granddaughter Virginia (Parmelee) Boll. She is survived by many loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was a longtime member of Holt Baptist Church. In Florida, she attended Northside Baptist Church in St. Petersburg.
Elinore retired from Auto-Owners Insurance in 1983, completing a rewarding career as an executive secretary.
Elinore’s life will be celebrated at Noon on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Barakel, P.O. Box 159, Fairview, MI 48621-0159.

April 18, 2023 at 10:17 amDear Hannula family I love you all so much. I did not know your grandmother, but I heard wonderful stories.I am holding you in my heart. You are good, fine and loving folks. I think you were blessed to have her and she was blessed to have you. I know you all bless me by being in my life, and carrying me as I walk through this hard transition time. What I am saying is, you are love. I am learning a song that say” Love stays loved and songs stay sung” What really matters goes on.

April 18, 2023 at 4:26 pmElinore was one of my mom’s favorite friends. They worked together for 10 years but met for lunch for 25 years more until Elinore moved to Florida. We last saw Elinore at her 90th birthday party. Maurice did remodeling work for us. I’m happy she had such a long, healthy life.
