Edward L. Kelly
Age 83, of Lansing, passed away October 31, 2012. He was born January 21, 1929, in Ferndale, MI, to Mark and Ora Kelly.
Edward was a graduate of Lansing Sexton High School. He retired from G.M. as a draftsman. He was chief designer of Oldsmobile’s Quad-4 Engine amongst other accomplishments. He was a devout Baptist and was a member of South Church. Ed was also an avid golfer, loved crosswords and reading.
He is survived by his children, Tim (Barbara) Kelly, Mary Arnold, Kathryn Kelly; stepsons, Don, Bill and David Barger; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Mark Kelly; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Delta Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pregnancy Services of Greater Lansing, 1045 E. Grand River, East Lansing, MI 48823.
