Edward H. Wallace
Edward H. Wallace, 78, of Westphalia, MI, passed away on April 30, 2016. He was the son of Leo and Mildred (Shaver) Wallace, born on October 17, 1937. He was a machine repairman at General Motors (Oldsmobile) for 39 years, retiring in 1999. Ed married Doris Miller in 1958 and they had two children. He loved deer hunting, fly fishing, spending time at the cabin, and just being in the woods up north. He also enjoyed spending time with his family in the mountains out west.
Ed is survived by his wife of 57 years; son, Greg (Leesa) Wallace of Lansing; daughter, Darcy (Doug) Maynard of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandchildren, John Wallace, Carlee and Brody Maynard; sister, Judy (Bob) Ranney; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Mackey and Lois Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob Wallace and Chuck Wallace, and sister Mary Lou Van Liew.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

May 3, 2016 at 8:12 amEd was a great friend, we worked together for years. I enjoyed helping him outside the “shop,” on various projects . One summer we even had Dorie help us, one week end we did two roof jobs up North. I’ll miss him, we had many “good-times” together. But we will remember, he’s in a better place.
