Edith M. Maloney

Age 97, of Lansing, MI, passed away February 17, 2020. She was born May 16, 1922, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Daniel and Glaide Flanagan.

Edith worked at Mills Dry Goods and Oldsmobile, and retired after 20 years with the State of Michigan Treasury Department. She was a member of the Elks Club. Edith’s family was involved in the building of Church of the Resurrection.

She is survived by her children, Thomas J. McFarlane, Maureen Wahl, and Dano McFarlane; grandchildren, Cathy (Mark) Franco, Kim (Luis) Rolon, Bianca McFarlane, Margo (Derek) McFarlane, and Mandy McFarlane; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Daniel, Daniela, Lilyana, Lazaro, Nadia, and Avery; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members in California. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Leo McFarlane; second husband, Jack Maloney; daughter-in-law, Vicki McFarlane; son-in-law, Mike Wahl; and 1 sister and 2 brothers.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Church of the Resurrection, Lansing. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society. Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Sorry to just hear about Edith. She was a very nice lady, and good friend to my Uncle Harry Lettow
