December 6, 2017 at 4:04 pmMarcia, Danielle, and Nathan, my condolences.
I just learned of Earl’s passing and I am in total shock. I so often speak of the time when Earl worked for us at Progressive Dynamics in Marshall. It was such a treat working with him and of course I appreciated his high intelligence and his dry sense of humor.
An anecdote that often comes to mind was when I asked him a question I hadn’t thought through. He gave me that look and said “Give me a break”.
I certainly know what you are going through. My wife Deborah passed on March 31 of this year at the age of 65. Time will help but I find the memories and the tears do continue. Remember the good times and you will get through it.
My prayers are with you.

January 3, 2018 at 1:44 pmMy sincerest condolences the Goodrich family. I too was a childhood friend of Earl. I have many good memories of fun times at Lyon Lake in the funny shaped house, and I also remember his sandbox under the floor above the Bargainette. We used to climb trees together and sneak jars of my moms bread-&-butter pickles from my basement at our house on Spruce Street. He loved them.
I remember after I moved away from Marshall, he came and spend a week with us in South Haven. We built a little home-made radio transmitter that could broadcast for a couple of blocks. He loved tinkering with electronics. I remember he lost his glasses swimming in Lake Michigan that week. Many good childhood memories with Earl.
