I know Douglas since the summer of 2002. Since he started to talk with me and my mother, Ana-Victoria, online, our life had changed a lot. We found in him a great friend that always helped us, as if he was here with us. He treated me as I was his daughter giving me great advices and a lot of love, so I can say I am what I am because of him!

He was very proud of me when every time I did something good with my life. He was always there for me and my mom, for good and bad.

He was and will be the father I always wanted to have. Unfortunately, life kept us apart…

He was and will always be my Tata (father) as I called him and no matter what, he will always have his special place in my heart! I will always love him! RIP!

Doug was and will always be a very special person for me.He had his special place in my life and always was there for me offering his friendship and also his Love.
We loved each other very much, only from the simple words I could write to him in my English. We were always dreaming of the day when we will meet in person. He even prepared himself for that by learning Romanian words. Unfortunately, now is too late and that day will never come because he left to a better place. My heart will always belong to him and one day we will all meet there! Until then, I am sending all my love to him from my heart and soul!

Rest in peace!

See glimpses of high school-aged Doug in this video of Holt parades. 1:07 and 1:27. Doug played tuba in a group called the Firehouse 5, along with my brother, Dan Ward, and several others.
