Douglas C. Spencer, Sr.
Holt, Michigan
Born September 11, 1952 in Lansing, Michigan son of Robert and Betty (DeLano) Spencer passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the age of 72.
Douglas graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1970. After graduating he started working for General Motors where he was employed for 30 years.
In 1971, Douglas met Robin (Smith). Douglas and Robin were married 53 years and shared 3 children, Rachelle “Shelly”, Douglas Jr., and Jennifer.
In 2000, Douglas retired from GM and spent his time finding that he was an animal lover.
Douglas was predeceased by his daughter Shelly and by both parents, Robert and Betty.
He is survived by his loving wife Robin; son, Douglas (Erin) Spencer, Jr.; daughter, Jennifer; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Per his wish cremation will take place and a family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to your local humane society or animal shelter.
Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
