Dorothy May Walter
Age 83, of Holt, MI, passed away July 2, 2017, in Lansing. She was born May 23, 1934, in Holt, MI, to the late Granville and Eva Wade.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of many years, Robert “Bob” Walter; brother-in-law, Leroy Brower; nieces: Becky (Kevin) Oesterle, Laurie (Robert) Siegrist, Shirley (Todd) Taylor, Patty Dixon, Christy Brower, and Tracey Brower; other family, Larry (Eleanor) Peck; special friend, Kathleen Davlin, as well as many other dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Gladys, Stan, and Ruth.
Dorothy grew up in Holt and was a graduate of Holt High School, later moving to Florida were she and Bob lived for many years until their return to Holt in the late 1990s. She was an employee of the federal government retiring after many years of service. Dorothy was a very social person, enjoying time spent with her many friends. Dorothy’s first love was caring for her husband, Bob.
The funeral service for Dorothy Walter will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, interment will follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
