Doris S. Ledyard

Age 95, of Holt, passed away on August 21, 2010. She was born on February 25, 1915, in Lansing Michigan to Alfred C. and Hulda E. Thorne. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert, and is survived by her daughters, Susan (Henry) Roysden of Beavercreek, OH, and Leigh (Harry) Russell of Battle Creek, MI. She was the proud grandmother of Russell (Laura) Roysden of Beavercreek, OH, Gail (Andrew) White of Columbus, OH, Jessica (Robert) Gilbert of Battle Creek, MI, and Kirsten (Troy) Ramos of Portland, OR. She was great-grandmother of Sydney and Phillip White of Columbus, OH. She was an active member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and had served on the Altar Guild and various other committees. She was a current member of the Bible study group.

Private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in September. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 6500 Amwood Drive, Lansing, MI 48911, or Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813 in the name of Doris Ledyard.
