Donald Hough
Age 87, passed away June 24, 2025. He was born August 2, 1937, to James and Myrle Hough. Donald was an avid marathon runner, earning track awards at Lansing Eastern High School and running on the Great Wall of China. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. At just 15 years old he started working in the printing industry. That led to Don owning and operating his own printing business, BRD Printing. He was a quiet man of endless skill and enjoyed writing poetry that he referred to as “His thoughts.”
Surviving are his children, Jeanne Hough, Melissa Hough, and Bradley Hough; 2 grandchildren; and sisters, Joyce Bandy and Marlene Gatewood. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose Marie; brother, Jim Hough; brothers-in-law, Chuck Bandy and Homer Gatewood; and his special dog, Cody.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St. Lansing, MI 48933. Inurnment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Ele’s Place.
