Donald Conrad Clever

Age 76, passed away December 1, 2024.  He was born October 6, 1948, in Lansing, Michigan, to Gordon and Margaret (Conrad) Clever.  Don graduated from Sexton High School, then from Michigan State University, where he graduated with honors and received a Bachelor’s degree in construction management. He served in the National Guard for 10 years.  He was an active member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Don was a very proud grandfather and would frequently travel to Traverse City and Indian River to watch his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed golfing with his friend Duane, helping out at church, and spending time with his friend Carol.

Don is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Ed) Taglauer; sons, Philip (Ellen) Clever and Bryan (Jaclyn) Clever; grandchildren Erica and Kaylee Taglauer, and Brooks, Nicholas, and Dexter Clever. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rhonda Osterhouse.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.  His family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. Monday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church in memory of Donald Clever.
