Donald C. Kugel

 Born July 31, 1923 in Ludlow Township, Iowa son of the late Carl and Esther (Hermeier) Kugel passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at age 89.  Donald served in the U.S. Army and was a retired General Motors employee. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Barbara Kugel; his son, Johnnie (Patty)Kugel; stepchildren, Arnt (Paula) Fossum, Birger (Pamela) Fossum, Charles(Marie) Fossum, Bill (Pam) Kundrat, James (Cindy) Kundrat, and Jeff (Karen) Miller along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Also surviving are his sisters, Ileta, Marge and Lavone as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

 Donald was preceded in death by brothers, Eldo, Roger, sister, Ruth and stepson-in-law, Daniel.

Funeral services will be held at South Church of the Nazarene, 401 W. Holmes Rd. in Lansing on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice or Indian Lake Nazarene Campground, in Donald’s memory.
