Donald A. Hebert

Age 62, of Lansing, passed away September 24, 2010, in Mt. Pleasant.  He was born February 21, 1948, in Lansing.

Don was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1966-72, serving in the Vietnam War.  After the Navy, he worked for the Lansing Board of Water and Light, retiring as a Supervisor after 25 years of service.  He loved to play golf and cards, and was an avid Spartan fan and Tiger fan.  Don was generous with his time, and would always help anyone who had a need.

He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Doris Hebert. Surviving are:  4 siblings, Beverly (Richard) Phillips of Mason, Jim Hebert of Lansing, Doris Jean (Harold) Doolittle of Grand Ledge and Mary Jane (Duane) Shauver of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with Rev. Steven Shauver officiating.  His family will receive friends at a memorial visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Home for Children in memory of Donald Hebert.
